Join Christine Mix in this fun Cartoon Drawing class children and adults of all ages will learn how to draw just about anything from a simple stick figure or doodle. Deriving from the theory that everything drawn or visually created is made up of shapes, lines, and space, artists of all levels will learn how to create their own cartoon character using their imagination. Easy to learn animation tips for expressions, action, and sequence drawing will open the imagination that makes illustrated characters come alive.
Christine Mix is a published Children's Illustrator/Author, PAL Member of SCBWI, and member of CBIG-NYC. A Teaching Artist for cartoon & illustration, drawing, painting, art residencies, and library programs, Chris is currently listed on the Vermont Arts Council Teaching Artist Roster and the Creative Aging Teaching Artist Roster. Christine's illustrations have been published in Stories for Children Magazine, Back- to- School- Issue, 2012, and the children’s book, Write Out of the Oven! by Josephine M. Waltz & Illustrated by Christine Mix, published by Teacher Ideas Press / Greenwood Publishing, 2005. Write Out of the Oven! received a nice review from the Parents Choice Foundation Bon Appetit Reading List. As a children’s author, Christine’s true short story, Standing Up, was published in Chicken Soup for the Child’s Soul Character-Building Stories to Read with Kids Ages 5-8, May 2007.
