Notes regarding time
Eastern TimeDescription
Head behind the scenes of a museum and make fun discoveries—like how pi (and pie!) shape our world. 🥧
From The Durham Museum: Each week during the school year, Museum LIVE! brings 30 minutes of engaging, fun and educational content straight to your home. This broadcast-style show includes segments featuring guest speakers from an incredible lineup of internationally recognized organizations and Smithsonian partners. We’ll also bring you a behind-the-scenes look at Durham Museum exhibits and artifacts, as well as cultural connections to the community. Whether you are joining us from the Omaha region, Greater Nebraska/Iowa, the nation at large, or internationally, we hope you’ll join us week after week for new content, new experiences and new adventures!
See how Pi(e) is all around us - even farmers use pi (in both ways!). Check out a fascinating pie tin from our permanent collection and watch as our Education team discusses the history of the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter. Join us for this educational (and delicious) episode.
