The Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth offers summer day and residential academic programs where students in grades 2-12 can experience three weeks of rigorous coursework, unique courses they might not find in school, and a fun and engaging peer community of advanced learners from around the world. Advanced learners can explore humanities, math, science, bioethics, engineering, public health and more while participating in social activities and traditions like dances, themed days, and talent shows.

Serving students for more than 45 years, CTY provides a holistic learning experience that emphasizes intellectual and personal growth. Courses focus on facilitated learning instead of lecture style instruction, as instructors engage alongside students as fellow learners. In CTY residential programming, students in grades 5-12 learn and live on a college campus. Day students in grades 2-8 learn and have fun on weekdays and go home each afternoon. All of CTY’s courses are about having the time and freedom outside of school to explore interests and discover new passions, from anatomy and zoology to Arduino prototyping and advanced math.
After CTY students go on to top colleges, and from there, become leaders in business, tech, and academia.
